Through Enable’s day program and supports which occur Monday through Friday during the day, individuals choose activities and explore their personal interests. They may become involved in volunteer and paid work. All activities are based on what is meaningful for each participant. Examples of activities include: cooking, horticulture, pet therapy, art, skills training, trips to places of interest, using a sensory space, plus volunteer or paid work with Meals on Wheels, at a child care center or with a mobile work crew. We have assisted participants to take on volunteer projects or causes they are personally interested in such as gathering donations such as toiletry items) for veterans and visiting veterans at a VA hospital or collecting shoes for individuals through Soles 4 Souls.
