Enable receives funds from donors through United Ways located in New Jersey, Delaware, and Florida. We also receive grants from the United Way of Greater Mercer County in support of the Project Connect and Partners in Caring programs—two collaboratives which allow Enable to serve persons who may not be eligible for funds through the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). For example, someone with Multiple Schlerosis whose illness may onset after the age of 22 years does not qualify to receive services through DDD. We can serve this person using the United Way funds. These grants also enable us to serve elderly persons whose disabilities may be related to illness or aging.

State Campaign

Enable is listed as one of the qualifying organizations to receive donations through the New Jersey State Employee charitable campaign. Our designation number is: 3649.

Your business may be willing to match a gift you give. Ask your employer. There is usually an application that your employer will ask you to complete. We have received many gifts this way through companies such as Goldman Sachs, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and others.

We are thrilled when persons let us know that they are asking their friends to send a donation to Enable in lieu of receiving gifts for their personal birthday party, a special anniversary or in memory of a loved one. If you want to do so, you do not need to do anything. However, if you let us know, we will work with you to prepare a special letter of thanks to them.
